Deductible or Excess Insurance

Helmet insurance always carries a deductible that usually amounts to 5% on the value of the helmet.

That excess percentage can be insured through insurance called Franchise Insurance or Hull Deductible Insurance.

What does it offer?

Deductible or Excess Insurance reduces the impact that, in the event of an accident, the application of the deductible means when proceeding with compensation.

It consists of placing, in a specific and very specialized market, the percentage of franchise in question to reduce the existing one. For example, if we have a hull value of 2,000,000 Euros and a 5% excess on said value, that is, an excess of 100,000 Euros, the excess insurance will allow us to place (insure) a 2.5% of the excess in that other specific market in exchange for a premium.

In this way, we will have reduced the excess for that aircraft to 5,000 Euros.

Who needs it?
